Welcome
The goal of our early years program is to make each child’s beginning school experience both meaningful and joyful. The instructional goals are to have a developmentally appropriate program that is flexible, personalized, and integrated. Toward this end, a sequential program is offered which is geared to each child’s total development- physical, emotional, aesthetic, as well as academic. Creative art and music activities in various areas of development and a structured physical education curriculum is designed to develop gross motor skills.
The multi-centered classrooms feature both open-ended and self-correcting materials with an organized environment. A typical day includes whole group, small group, and individual instruction as well as independent work. Planned interaction of teachers and students allow each child to perform at his own level and rate.
The Early Years (ages 3-6) encompasses the whole child and engages children in their journey to become life-long learners in a safe and nurturing environment. Our creative and enthusiastic faculty provides many opportunities for the young child to grow and develop at his or her own pace. Multi- centered classrooms, Spanish, Kindermusik, art, physical education, library, and guidance (character development enrich the curriculum which is both sequential and developmentally appropriate.
